Buy new or used, what do we think?

Today the question is being asked more and more, especially as the word "overconsumption" is finding itself more and more popular in current vocabulary... But then, are there real benefits to favor second-hand purchases rather than new ones?

Here are the 5 reasons that push us to say yes:

1- Because buying second hand is good for the planet

You probably knew that. But did you know that more than 110,000 tonnes of toys are thrown away every year in France? Buying second-hand allows these toys to find a second life, rather than creating new ones which will also end up being thrown away.

2- For your wallet...

And yes, second-hand prices are much cheaper! on average 60% cheaper than new! With inflation continuing to increase, reducing costs by making an ecological gesture is not insignificant.

3- Because some items are no longer produced

Has your child ever lost their comfort blanket? “Doudou has gone on vacation!” Quickly, you have to buy the same model before the tragedy. But unfortunately, Doudou is no longer produced. What to do? BAM! We have the solution: Buy it second hand of course!

4- Because children grow up quickly

Our children grow up quickly and can get tired of a toy or stuffed animal quite quickly. Used children's items are therefore mostly barely used, still like new. So why not give them a chance?

5- Because second-hand stuffed animals and comforters can go back in time!

Second-hand comfort toys can sometimes transport you to the past. This may appeal to older children who like to collect old models, or who have been looking for their childhood cuddly toy for a long time! What's better than going back to childhood?
